Louise Roy is a Birth Doula, studying with Childbirth International (CBI), and has lived in Shanghai for 6 years. Louise has worked with couples here in Shanghai and has a good relationship with the staff and a working knowledge of the practices in many of the major international hospitals. Having previously worked in Australia as a Postpartum Doula and Baby Nanny, she also works with Shanghai Doula as a Baby Care Advisor. Louise is a proud mum and foster mum, and believes that all women should have the support and opportunities they need to have a great birth experience.

A Note From Louise:
I have always been drawn to babies and birth, and I find the process of pregnancy and birth to be amazing. Before becoming a Birth Doula I had previously worked extensively with newborns, babies and older infants. This passion has extended over the years to also encompass pregnancy and birth, and I love being able to help and spend time with parents before, during and after the birth of their child. I personally believe that every woman should have the support they need to facilitate the birth they envision, and it is an honour to be included in such a precious time.
